Coin Purses

I've been hunting for the perfect coin purse for a while now. I'm sick and tired of throwing change into my bag. Who knows where this change has been? I can't let them run amuck in my bag.
I'm looking for something like these.
left to right: Michael Kors $128, Comme des Garcon $170, Coach $38
Now that I look at this lineup, it's quite funny in a sense. It goes from conservative to fun to daring.

This coin purse is Valextra. It is $860 at Barneys. In other words, it's the Birkin of coin purses. I can't see myself  splurging so much for a bag this minuscule in my life.

cravings

I am in desperate need of a pair of black wedges. Okay, maybe I don't NEED them, but I certain would love to own a pair of black wedges for the Fall/Winter season.

CCC: chanel couture collage

Man do I love Chanel's couture line for Fall/Winter 2010. It has that early 1900s shape and European embroidery essence. The amount of detail infused into each piece of this collection is massive.
Sadly, I can't visualize many of these dresses on the red carpet.

what Linda has been up to

The posting has been extremely slow since my vacation started and I apologize for that, even though I doubt an insignificant blog such as this with the sole purpose as an artistic outlet for myself would impact those who read/view my entries.

With my senior high school year approaching at 200 mph, I've been trying to get an art portfolio together so that the colleges don't wonder what the heck I've been doing in my four years of high school as a visual arts major. I very recently, one week ago, decided that I wanted to pursue fashion design along with fashion merchandising/global marketing in college... I learned how to sew a week and a half ago and sewed a lovely dress last week. Two nights ago, I started sketching designs. Hopefully, everything will go well and I get into the college of my practical dreams--F.I.T.: Fashion Institute of Technology. I hear Jane Aldridge from Sea of Shoes is attending the school this fall. No idea where I actually read that... maybe I was hallucinating.

At the beginning of my vacation I also started knitting a scarf. After a week I had almost 3 feet, but I want it longer. I've kinda put off finishing it. My bad procrastination habit perhaps? Anyway, besides being holed up in my room, my mom goes on weekly yard sale hunts and every so often I join her on these weekly missions. I've hauled in quite a lot of treasures. Treasures such as a long suede vest, faux coats and old CDs.

RZ

Lately, I've been obsessing over Rachel Zoe's show on Bravo. Watching her show makes me feel like a normal person. It assures me that I'm not the only person that seemingly overreacts when I spot a to-die-for dress, shoe, jacket, and etc. Her show also assures me that there are usually few words to describe the genius of a piece of clothing. Her few words are "I die" and "BANANAS". Actually... now that I think about it, I don't usually use words to describe anything I would die for. I use sounds effects.
..... um, let's just end my almost endless rant.
Rachel at J Mendel in 2007. I adore her little girl side braid.

That orange boho caftan is so adorable. It would be such a great dress to wear to a party on a lovely fall night.
Holy fiddlesticks, I would LOVE to shop this closet.

A consistent panning out of the edges... don't you love the bell bottoms?
The animal print jacket is BANANAS. (Too much Rachel Zoe Project)
I love how this jacket looks when juxtaposed with the red leather pants. The golden chain stitching on the wild jacket reminds me of a Luxirare creation.
