Shopping Cart

This is what I need around campus. The amount of time I spend looking for my ID is ridiculous. Having this wallet would make my life incredibly easier. No more relocating my credit cards from wallet to jeans' pocket, no more lugging around a handbag to transport my wallet safely, and no more misplacing my ID and phone. This is college campus life simplified. I tried looking around this summer for another carry-all wristlet that was more sophisticated and refined. I had my eye set on a the Sutton-style Coach wristlet, but in the end, we weren't meant to be. I think this wristlet will be the one. Sometimes school is just too stressful and serious. It's good to accessorize with a childish flair. The patterns these wristlets come in remind me of all the cute and pretty things from adolescence.

twenty twelve

I seriously cannot believe that 2011 is over. It probably has been the best year of my life. It held six months of my senior year, the three weeks I spent in running around Taiwan with one of my best friends, the first semester of college, and the start of my first relationship. For my sake, I really need to start listing some moments: managing senior art show two, being featured in art show three, snowboarding with one of my friends and her mom, receiving the Stephen Jablonsky scholarship for my work in ceramics, prom, the after prom-party, the crazy sleepover following that party, graduation and the dinner afterwards, that beautiful afternoon at my aunt's country house in Yilan, those multiple trips to "Simon" (Ximending), clouds descending in Alishan, dinner at Red Bamboo with friends, the following sleepover, my best friend and her dad driving me to college, that random late-night drive around Lewisburg with the college friends within the first couple days of college, the beautiful starry sky of rural Pennsylvania, my art hanging in the Post and Lintel Fine Arts Gallery.

Yes 2011, you were very good to me. You marked the start of my legal adult life, and hopefully in 2012, there will be more wonderful experiences, opportunities, and memories.

Trying to take it easy right now. I have a macroeconomics midterm in half an hour.

home

I'm home for the weekend. I love you, Selinsgrove, but NYC will always be my home. I bolted off the bus today and ran to the subway. I was in the subway before everybody was off the bus.

Have a nice weekend everyone! Tonight there's a curfew due the cresting of the Susquehanna River! Curfew is eleven o'clock. My friend and I just drove one hour to pick up three orders of chinese food. It really should not have taken that long. Location and directions were not made clear... Anyway, it seems like my weekend is off to a good start. (Seriously!)
Have a good weekend!

Happy Labor Day

It's raining where I am in Pennsylvania. I called my brother over Skype today and he says it is pretty gloomy in New York City too. I miss home. I am planning to visit at the end of the month. I miss my parents, my dogs, my friends. Can't wait to see them in a few weeks! I talk to my two best friends and my mom everyday. That's not excessive right?
On another note, anybody digging my School of Athens poster? My roommate and neighbors make fun of how dorky I am having it. I love it. I thought it was very appropriate for my dorm room and that it would be a reminder to study and work hard at college. I also have a poster of The Old Guitarist by Picasso hanging next to my desk.

Yes, that is a toothbrush on my desk. I seem to have picked up a few habits since moving into my dorm. I brush my teeth after most meals. I now make my bed religiously. Overall, going away to college was a good move, I feel.
