Jean-Michel Basquiat

Jean-Michel Basquiat (1960-1988) was an American artist. His career in art began as a graffiti artist in New York City in the late 1970s, and in the 1980s produced Neo-expressionist painting. Basquiat died of a heroin overdose in August 12, 1988, at the age of 27.

What a sad ending... If he were still alive he would be about the same age as my mom. I love his work. Oh people, what terrible habits consume them.

L'illusionniste

Yesterday, friends and I went Sunshine Cinema on the Lower East to watch The Illusionist (L'illusionniste), written by French filmmaker, Jacques Tati. This was truly an amazing movie that will stir up a smorgasbord of emotions. According to Wikipedia, Tati wrote the script for his daughter and intended to make it a live action film with her... very sweet and the love is definitely evident in the film.

my dream guy

hahaha, just kidding, but Dwight is pretty pee-your-pants hilarious. I think my ideal guy would be somewhere between James Stewart and Johnny Cash. Picking modern celebs is too cliche, but if I really had to choose it be Wong LeeHom and hands-down Johnny Depp. LOL (P.S. I really did laugh out loud... actually it was more like a giggle, so I guess I lied? However, if I wrote GOG, you guys would've thought I was nuts.)
